After serving a jail sentence for theft, Manyisa, a young man with a cruel past and an uncertain future, is released. He is offered a new chance at life by a well-meaning pastor, Jacob. Life has taught Manyisa not to trust anyone and he is suspicious of Jacob's generosity.

Every afternoon, 12-year-old Lisa has an appointment with her 6-year-old brother Paul. He suffers from an incurable disease and has to stay inside the house. To pass the time, Lisa has invented a fantasy game using their imagination that Paul is a spaceship captain.

During a Summer vacation on the Aegean coast, the relationship between a professor Isa and his young girlfriend Bahar implodes. Life becomes difficult when 10-year-old Kalle's newborn sister has a birth defect on her back resembling wings. Only he sees the true miracle of his sister's odd appendages. When she is sent to a renowned clinic for cosmetic surgery for an amputation, Kalle sets out on a rescue mission.

They live by taking care of elderly people. On their one day off per week, they perform as drag performers in a group called the Paper Dolls.

At last Xiao Yang fulfills his dream of entering Bremen University. His old friend Dakuan, already in Germany, holds a crazy celebration party for Xiao Yang. But it annoys the boss of his new apartment, Xu Ma. One day, when paying rent, he realizes all of his money has been stolen by Dakuan.

Mancini has to place a bomb inside the offices of a big bank, in order to destroy some troublesome documents. After disguising himself as a member of the cleaning staff and setting the bomb with a timer, he gets trapped in the elevator with two unsuspecting clerks.
