Mataichiro Yamamoto

Yamamoto's producing credits includes The Man Who Stole The Sun directed by Kazuhiko Hasegawa, Lady Oscar directed by Jacques Demy, and Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters, directed by Paul Schrader which was awarded Best Artistic Contribution at 1985 Cannes Film Festival, and coproduced by Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas. He founded Tristone Entertainment in 1993. His latest producing credits are Crows Zero directed by Takashi Miike and Cyborg Girl directed by Jae-young Kwak.
In-Ah Lee

In-Ah Lee is a producer based in Los Angeles and Cologne. Her producing credits include Don't Come Knocking, written by and starring Sam Shepard and directed by Wim Wenders (Cannes 2005) and Land of Plenty, also directed by Wenders (Venice 2004), as well as Grace Lee's The Grace Lee Project (SXSW 2005), The Way I Spent the End of the World, by Catalin Mitulescu (Cannes 2006, Un Certain Regard), a French Romanian co-production. She is also a cofounder of Greenskyfilms, a Cologne and Los Angeles based production house specializing in international co-productions and German independent films. Her upcoming projects include In the Miso Soup with Wim Wenders, Au Revoir Taipei by Arvin Chen.
Orlow Seunke

Seunke began producing in 1982 with an internationally acclaimed film, The Taste of Water, which won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and many more awards. In 1985, his second feature film, Pervola also received many acknowledgments including the Best Dutch Film. Under his vision as the Festival Director (2004 - 2006), Jakarta International Film Festival was quick to become one of the prominent cultural events in the region. After resigning from the position, Seunke is now producing several film projects under the banner of ECCO Films Indonesia.
Paul Raphael

Rafael produced the multi award winning Under The Bombs, winner of best film and best actress at the Dubai film festival and the Human Rights award in Venice. His other producing credits include Anita & Me, The Leading Man, staring Jon Bon Jovi and Thandie Newton, Rogue Trader, shot in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and London with Ewan McGregor and Pascali's Island, with Sir Ben Kingsley, Helen Mirren and Charles Dance. He is developing a slate of feature films including the follow up novel from Slumdog Millionaire author Vikas Swarup, Six Suspects, a murder mystery set in Dheli, with BBC Films.
Kei Haruna

Born 1969 in Osaka, Haruna joined Hakuhodo in 1993. After working in the TV programming and Film division, he was transferred to the Entertainment division of Hakuhodo DY Media Partners. In 2007, he assumed the position of CEO at Showgate Inc. His producing credits include Copycat Killer, Crying Out Love In the Center of the World, Be With You, Train Man, and Closed Note. In 2005, he was awarded Distinguished Achievement Award at the 28th Edition of Japan Academy Prize.

Shoji Masui

In 1993, Masui founded Altamira Pictures with Masayuki Suo and Itsumichi Isomura. Since then, he produced Shall We Dance? directed by Masayuki Suo, Give It All directed by Itsumichi Isomura, Waterboys, Swing Girls, and Happy Flight, all directed by Shinobu Yaguchi. Shall We Dance? was re-made in Hollywood and distributed all over the world. He has produced many other films and is particularly interested in discovering up and coming filmmakers.
John Williams

Born in Wales, Williams came to Japan in 1988. He founded the production company 100 Meter Films and made his directorial debut with Firefly Dreams in 2001 for which he was nominated for the New Directors Award by the Directors Guild of Japan. In 2007, he wrote and directed Starfish Hotel, a winner of Grand Prix at the Luxemburg International Film Festival. Since 2006, his company managed J-Pitch, an international co-production support workshop sponsored by the Ministry of Economy. In recent years, he has worked as a producer, devoting himself to promoting Japanese films overseas.
Hiromi Aihara

In 1992, Aihara produced Shinya Tsukamoto's Tetsuo 2: Body Hammer, which was accepted at festivals around the world. She established BE-Wiz and in 1995 served as a film festival coordinator for the Rotterdam and Toronto Film Festivals, introducing Japanese films to audiences overseas. She also co-produced Pen-Ek Ratanaruang's Last Life in the Universe.
Yuma Matsukawa

After graduating from Tokyo Metropolitan University and Tokyo Announce Academy, Matsukawa worked as an editor, then a film critic. She appeared in various TV and radio programs, wrote film criticism, and conducted interviews for various newspapers and magazines. Her latest book is Cinema de gochisousama (published by Kindaieigasya). She is currently teaching at Toho Gakuen and Pariseiga School.
