Tomoyasu Murata
Born 1974 in Tokyo. Murata's animated short, Nostalgia (2000), won the Excellence Prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival, while another short, Scarlet Road (2002), won Grand Prix at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival. Recently, he has published manga works, created live action short pieces and produced three dimensional object installments. His other credits include White Road (2003).

Kusakari is an actor working primarily on stage. Since 2005, he has started directing short films. Touzoku Boogie (2007) won the Special Jury Prize at the Yamagata International Movie Festival. Kusakari returns to SKIP City this year with Lie of the Gorilla (2010), his first festival entry since 2008 with An Eye of a Golden Fish (2007).

Norihiro Niwatsukino
While attending the Kyushu Institute of Design, Niwatsukino formed an independent film production group, Tricycle Film, and started directing short and feature films, which subsequently screened and won awards at various film festivals. After graduating from the Graduate School of Design at Kyushu University, he moved to Tokyo and now works as a freelance director.
