STOP-MOTION ANIMATION WORKSHOP

Using the spacious venue to its fullest, you will draw large pictures on cardboard and take time-lapse photographs as you climb up and down the stairs. This workshop is a fun way to learn and experience how animation works by using your body.

*Please note that participants under 3rd grade elementary school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. In order to draw and create large pictures, the participants will work with their parents.

LET’S MAKE A SOMATROPE!

In this workshop, participants will craft a toy that utilizes the visual afterimage phenomenon, in which two pictures, one on the front and one on the back, appear to overlap when rotated quickly. You can take home the somatrope you made!
