After performing a puppet show called “Alice in Santa Land,” two troupe members, Bambi and Dumbo witness a white rabbit roaming in an empty theater. They chase after the rabbit and find a girl with a sad look on her face.

Director/Shoh Kataoka Born 1982 in Hokkaido, Kataoka won the Audience Award 2 years in a row at Short Shorts Film Festival. His latest short Kurage-kun was awarded first runner up at Pia Film Festival Award 2010 and other 13 prizes including 7 Grand Prix. This year, Kataoka directed another short Nukunuku no ki financed by UNIJAPAN and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. |
Madonna

Suzu lost her parents and now lives with her sister Yui who works as a cabaret hostess. When high school officials request to meet her guardian, Suzu throws away the notice. But Yui shows up at school on the day of the meeting.

Director/Shunta Seki Seki graduated from Body Expression and Cinematic Arts Department, College of Contemporary Psychology at Rikkyo University in 2010. He is now studying filmmaking in the graduate department at the same school and currently in the second year of the Masters. |

Rieko’s mother suffers from dementia and thinks Rieko is her caretaker. Her sister suggests Rieko to take her mother to a movie, her favorite pastime. Not knowing what else to do, she takes her to a movie theater with her father.

Director/Daisuke Hatanaka Hatanaka started making 8mm films while attending college. He is now making films as a freelancer. In 2009, his first feature Shutters 4 was screened at The Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial. In 2010, he was selected to direct A Drop of Memories at the 3rd Short Story Nagoya (hosted by the city of Nagoya). |
