When Cathy’s duck egg hatches, the duckling thinks Margaux, Cathy’s best friend, is its mother. Margaux, however, sits in a wheelchair, and her parents forbid her from raising the duckling in their house.

Before making a feature film debut with Pom le Poulain (2006), Ringer began his career by directing various projects including Haute Pression (1986), a short film which screened at Avoriaz Fantastic Film Festival and episodes of TV series “Les guignols de l'info” (1988). On the Sly (2011), his second feature film premiered at Berlinale and screened at more than 80 others festivals around the world, winning many awards including the ECFA (European Children's Film Association) Award 2012. And now, he is working on the post-production of his fourth feature movie, King of the Valley.
