Chanda, who works as a maid, is worried about her daughter Appu because she gave up on her studies. One day, Chanda is devastated when Appu tells her that she wants to quit school and become a maid. Chanda decides to enroll in the same class as her daughter.

Tiwari spent 16 years in the advertising agency Leo Burnett telling stories for the biggest brands in India and South East Asia. She had several awards from Cannes Lions, New York Festival, One show, Clio, D&AD in her kitty, but one short film What’s for Breakfast? (2013), which won Best Film and Best Director at Dadasaheb Phalke Award, changed her course to direction. She is already acknowledged as one of the most sought female directors in Bollywood. She is currently working on a book “Homework” based on a father-daughter relationship which is planned to be adopted into a movie.
