While in pursuit of a serial killer, Detective Richard Kemp falls in love with Helen, a witness who discovered the body of a new victim. One night, he gets attacked and is drowned in the river only to wake up twenty years earlier just before the murders begin.

Alvarez graduated in Direction at C.L.C.F. Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français in 1993. Alvarez’s filmography includes short films, some documentaries and 3D animation series for TV. His short film, Jour blanc (2004) was screened at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. Back in Crime is his first feature film as a director and scriptwriter.
