Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Ribeiro studied at University of São Paulo’s Film School. He wrote and directed two shorts, You, Me & Him and I Don’t Want to Go Back Alone, both of which screened at over 180 festivals worldwide and won 115 awards combined including the Crystal Bear at Berlin International Film Festival. His first feature film, The Way He Looks premiered at Berlin International Film Festival in 2014.
