Shimada is a down and out actor. One day, he goes to an audition introduced by his friend, but it turns out to be a job interview for the company that provides clients with the characters they want to meet. Mio, a highschool girl client, gets Shimada unwillingly involved in planning a terrorist attack.

Born 1985 in Mie Prefecture, Endo started making films while attending Kyoto University of Art and Design. After graduating, he joined Marebito no kai, a theater company led by Masataka Matsuda and attended Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts and studied under Kiyoshi Kurosawa. His short films include to/for (2008), Eldorado (2012), and Before After (2013).
