Eight years have passed since the massacre in Akihabara. An ensemble piece about characters struggling to find their place in Akihabara: an underground idol whose mother was slaughtered, a high school girl who ran away from home, and a deliveryman who doesn’t know how to release his daily frustrations.

Born 1992, Matsumoto studied filmmaking at Visual Arts Osaka and his thesis film Asu naki sora wo se ni (2013) received the Honorable Mention at thesis presentation showcase and screened at various film festivals. Upon graduation, he joined a production company and made his commercial debut with Direct to DVD mid-length feature Kanojyo ga kare wo aishita toki (2015) at the age 21. He also directed various commercials and promotional videos, before going freelance in 2015. He now works as Chief Director at ExtremeVR, producing videos of virtual reality live events. This is his first feature film.
