In a northern Italian mountain village during the 1950s, a bear begins preying on livestock. A town outcast goes into the mountains to hunt the bear and restore his honor and Domenico, his son, decides to follow him.

Born 1973, Segato studied literature at the University of Padua and attended the Documentary Masters at the Public School of Cinema in Milan. He served as an assistant director for The Right Distance (2007) by Carlo Mazzacurati. For Jolefilm, the production company he has been collaborating with for several years, Segato directed documentaries including Ci Resta Il Nome (2007) and Via Anelli (2008). His other documentary credits include L'uomo Che Amava Il Cinema (2012), which screened at the Venice International Film Festival.
