There are many missing persons in the world. People search for them and wait for their return, not knowing when. Using the unique premise of an information pawnbroker, Wandering Memories carefully depicts the desperation and emotions of those who want to know the whereabouts of the missing. Director Yuta Noguchi has built a reputation as a TV drama director since graduating from Nihon University College of Art, and makes his film debut here. Shiori desperately searches for her little son, while her father wants her to move on and live for herself. Despite his concerns, Shiori makes a big decision. Natsuko Haru sensitively plays the role of Shiori, swaying between love for her son and love for her father. Moro Morooka plays the father, and Yoshiko Takehara leaves a distinct impression as the pawnbroker. The film will have its world premiere at the festival.

Message
How can people live with the sorrow of losing their loved ones? I made this film based on the true incident of a friend going missing 17 years ago. I tried to recall what I saw, heard and felt, and confronted all those memories. The memories, which existed only in my mind last year, took form and can be seen by you. I appreciate this miracle. Thank you.
