Director/Oliver Ziegenbalg
Born 1971 in Germany, Ziegenbalg studied business and graduated from University of Karlsruhe in 1998. He moved to Berlin and worked on TV series like “A Case for Two” and wrote screenplays for feature films including 1 ½ Ritter (2008), U-900 (2008), 13 Semester (2009) and Friendship! (2010). Based on a short story by Wladimir Kaminer, Ziegenbalg wrote a screenplay of Russendisko and took over directing when the original director suddenly exited the project after five days of shooting. Russendisko is his first feature directorial debut.
