Chasing after his girlfriend who suddenly disappeared, Tung ends up in Nanyang Street, famous for its cram schools, where he gets a job at a copy shop. While delivering copies, he discovers an illustration of a sheep drawn on the back of an exam paper.

In 2006, Hou’s documentary short, My 747, won the Grand Prix of Hong Kong IVFA Independent Short Film & Video Award. His documentary work, Taiwan Black Movies (2005), which presented cult films made during 1970s-era Taiwan, was nominated for the Golden Horse Awards. He made his directorial debut with One Day (2010), which screened in the Forum at the Berlinale. In the same year, his short film Juliet’s Choice (2012) was selected in Pusan International Film Festival. When a Wolf Falls in Love with a Sheep (2012) is his second feature film.
